Overview
iLEAP: The Center for Critical Service is an international nonprofit organization with a mission to renew and ignite a new generation of social leaders and global citizens. We conduct transformational educational and professional training programs in Seattle and collaborate with community leaders throughout Asia, Africa and Latin America to create new and more effective ways to work in global partnership for social change.
Our international programs focus on key themes of leadership and social innovation. These programs are all designed to inspire personal growth, deepen a sense of vocation, spark creativity, advance professional development, and lead to social transformation. Each curricula is steeped in cross-cultural, adult learning principles and we challenge participants to learn and grow with head, heart, and hands. Through this integrated process, our graduates emerge with the practical skills, critical thinking, and global community of support necessary to create sustainable social change in the world.
Our Programs
Our programs are all centered around learning themes of social innovation and leadership and balance personal inquiry and reflection with social action and collaboration. Each program integrates elements of formal classroom trainings, applied learning through site visits to local social businesses and nonprofit organizations and job shadowing/internship placements, and public outreach and discussion. Our emphasis on relationship building and hands-on learning connects our participants with influential leaders and innovative organizations from a wide range of sectors--including, global health, social media, environmental conservation, youth leadership, sustainable agriculture, human rights, technology, and education.

Our Network
At iLEAP we develop our programs in close partnership with nonprofit organizations, associations, businesses, and universities from all over the world. At the very core of our mission and vision, iLEAP is committed to nurturing lasting partnerships between individuals, organizations, and communities in Seattle and around the world.
Our Vision
The iLEAP Vision is a worldwide community of interlinked global citizens and innovative organizations. Those in this community are connected through their commitment to taking risks and engaging life with a humble passion and abiding sense of humor as they work with, and in the service of others. iLEAP nurtures and sustains this worldwide community through global programs which offer both transformative life experiences and a commitment to an ongoing relationship with its participants. Through this commitment to community, iLEAP envisions the emergence of creative partnerships that will fundamentally shift the practice and purpose around international travel, volunteerism and service, and business and development.
