About KSPPM

Perhimpunan Kelompok Studi dan Pengembangan Prakarsa Masyarakat (KSPPM), the Group for the People’s Development Initiative empowers villagers and farmers through development and consensus. KSPPM focuses its work on four different regions within Indonesia (especially North Sumatra), and serves over 3,000 members. A key component of KSPPM is the promotion of organic farming as way to regenerate farming economies and recover land fertility. KSPPM also assists their members in securing multiple income sources with their farming and making wise investments. Finally, KSPM further assists villagers and farmers through community based micro-credit unions, allowing farmers to work together and improve their quality of life.
